Advances in medical and nutrition science have demonstrated the benefit of medical nutrition intervention on outcomes in patients with wounds. Nutritional deficiencies or malnutrition pose negative effect on wound healing, and a variety of nutrients and factors play critical roles in wound healing and outcomes.
Program attendees will gain new knowledge on wound pathophysiology and the role of nutrition in wound healing and wound prevention and will learn the importance of nutrition screening and nutritional interventions to prevent and treat wounds, including emerging science on wound healing.
This half-day program will be led by physicians who are recognized leaders in the field of wound healing and nutrition.
